What to Expect?

MEN : It will improve fitness, flexibility, confidence and most of all help control aggression.
WOMEN : More and more women are turning to Martial Arts, whatever the reasons, fitness, confidence, but most of all Self defence. Taekwon-Do is one of the most practical self defence systems, easy to understand and use
CHILDREN : Taekwon-Do is probably the best method of teaching children respect, discipline and self confidence. These factors instilled in a young child will help them to succeed more in their adult ambitions.

About our school
The South Devon Taekwon-Do School is part of the United Kingdom Taekwon-Do Association (UKTA). All of our classes are run by qualified UKTA Instructors who are also first aid qualified and checked by the Criminal Records Bureau. The school holds regular Gradings and Seminars for all the students. Special seminars are also organised with the UKTA Masters and GrandMaster Rhee Ki Ha, O.C.M. 9th Degree. GrandMaster Rhee is our associations president and chief examiner, he also world renown as the man who introduced the art of Taekwon-Do to the United Kingdom in 1967. As members of the UKTA, our instructors are dedicated to promoting true ITF Taekwon-Do at the highest possible standard.

Costs Involved.
Monthly Subscriptions
£26.00 paid monthly - Includes all classes at all locations in any month.
£18.00 paid monthly - Includes 1 class per week.

Family Discount
For the second and every subsequent direct family member we will discount the monthly subscriptions to:
£12 per month - Includes 1 class per week that must be booked at the time.
£16 per month - Includes all classes at all locations in any month.

Licence: Annually will need to purchase a martial arts Licence, this will cost just £ 25.00 per year. Possessing a licence is very important, as it is your form of insurance in the unlikely event of an accident in class.

Training Suit: The white training suit worn at class is called a dobok. To start with, everyday loose clothing can be worn but when a student wishes to take their first grading they must wear a UKTA dobok. These are priced at £35.

Grading: To promote to the next level a student takes a grading. In a grading the student will be assessed on what they have learnt in class. Each Colour Belt grading costs £18. This includes the students certificate and the next belt or belt stripe.
